ROMMEL AT BONNIE DOON

Our first dog was "Rommel" or "Leastone Viking Son CDX".

Rommel, our lovely old boy, achieved 2 obedience titles (CD and CDX) in his lifetime. He was shown briefly with some success, but our real passion was for obedience.

Rommel only lived to age 7 1/2, his back sadly gave out and paralyzed him.

His best mate was Astrid.

He only knew one of our kids, Matt, for a brief time, but he was so gentle with him, considering Matt was only a little baby.

"Astrid" or "Dreistleigh Black Eclipse CD".

Astrid was also a great performer in the obedience ring, gaining her CD title. Astrid's show career ended early on due to a leg injury.

She had 3 lovely litters in her lifetime ,with Rommel as sire.
After Rommel died, she spent the rest of her days with her new companion Zeus.

Astrid lived out her life as a much loved family pet,to the ripe old age of almost 14.

"Zeus" or "Cheinoir Dillenger", our last Rottie, never made it to the show or obedience ring. We were too tied up in raising two young children, we never seemed to find the time to get there.

He was a great dog,a gentle giant, our kids had much pleasure growing up with him. He sadly died of bone cancer at age 12.
